The grounds around St. Louis’ beautiful Arch burst with color in the Spring. These magnolia blossoms are set among well-groomed pools with block enclosures and newly grown grasses on gracefully sloping land.
Magnolias are like some people to me. They don’t quite fit the mold. Their sprawling petals confront the image of a perfectly formed blossom with predictable patterns. I have plenty of room in my heart for irregularly shaped things and people. They challenge me, but something in me really likes that.
