If you were a color, wouldn’t you want to reach out and explore new combinations of colors around you? This painting seeks to express the joy and excitement I imagine I would feel if I were given the opportunity to mingle and move freely among other colors of my own kind. The shapes make me think of lilies kicked up a notch.
Now that I think about it, I suppose people are much like colors in that way—coming together in new combinations often creates something truly special and transformative.
